Montalcino,
from the south.
About 120 hectares, 30 of them vineyard, at 400 metres on the southern side of Montalcino, facing Monte Amiata. Not to be confused with Tenuta di Renieri, in Chianti Classico.
Soil: limestone, rock, red clay and tuff. Exposure from east round to north-west. Main grape: Sangiovese; Syrah as a single varietal; Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot for the IGT wines.
Renieri is the Montalcino estate. Tenuta di Renieri, in Chianti Classico, is a different estate in the group.
